Bodybuilding: Cycling from lean to mass and back to lean.?
So I'm 18 years old, 21.1 BMI, 14-15% body fat and I am at an impasse. I am a mesomorph/ectomorph mix and I don't necessarily have trouble gaining or losing weight, but I have a question in regards to cycling between being lean and cut and getting big again.
I am planning on doing a mud run which is very heavy in cardio and strength endurance so for that I feel like I should be lean cut, but afterwords I plan on doing a weight gaining cycle.
My question is will it be truly harder to gain weight after being lean and cut? and why?
Also when I say going lean I mean ≤10% body fat.
I do run, I also do some cycling, swimming and a lot of rock climbing.
My diet is pretty on cue, I eat every two hours and try to keep my protein about .8 grams/lb and my carbs double to triple that amount to ensure that I have energy throughout the day and for my other workouts.
