Praise (with one exception) for Dallas Cowboys' spending spree (Star Telegram)

Randy Galloway

All together now, let's praise the genius of the Cowboys' free-agency haul
this week. I do, however, mourn the loss of receiver Laurent Robinson, but
more on that in a minute.

Let me parrot right along with everyone else and pom-pom the signing of
cornerback Brandon Carr, even if the money is, well, very steep. Fifty mil
over five years, with guaranteed money of $26.5 million.

Wow.

But the Cowboys had to have a cornerback, right? And the Cowboys identified
Carr, formerly of the Chiefs, as their man, right?

While cheerleading along, however, it would be a mistake not to mention one

how to improve pike jump? (cheerleading)?

i am a ballerina, (5 years now) and i am trying out for cheerleading with my best friend (i will be in my sophomore year in high school, im 15)

i have just been having a bit of trouble getting my pikes up, i can do a hurdle and toe touch no problem, and i can go all the way down with my back straight doing a pike stretch, but when i do the pike jump it's just pathetic XD

any tips on how to go higher? thanks soooo much !!! :)

I had the same problem for a while, the secret to getting a great pike jump is to keep practicing getting you KNEES to your CHEST. Do NOT bring your chest to your knees, this keeps your legs from reaching there full potential. It doesn't come easy so you have to keep practicing in order to make your pike better.
Hope this Helps and Good Luck at tryouts!
